Sweet Phonics (“we,” “us,” or “our”) is operated by M75 LLC. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect information when you use our mobile application and website (collectively, the “Service”).

1. Information We Collect

We collect the following types of information:

  • Account information: When you create an account, we collect your email address for authentication purposes.
  • Child profiles: Parents may create child profiles that include a first name (or nickname) and age. This information is used solely to personalize the learning experience and track lesson progress.
  • Learning progress: We store information about which lessons and activities a child has completed to provide a continuous learning experience.
  • Subscription and purchase records: If you subscribe through Apple, we receive a transaction receipt from Apple to verify your subscription and unlock paid features. We do not see or store your payment card details; Apple processes all payments under Apple's privacy policy.
  • Crash diagnostics: We use Google Firebase Crashlytics to receive anonymized crash reports if the app stops unexpectedly. These reports contain device model, operating system version, app version, and a stack trace of the crash. They do not contain your name, email, child profile information, or any content typed by you or your child.
  • Website communications: If you contact us or previously joined our launch list, we collect your email address.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Provide, maintain, and improve the Service
  • Personalize the learning experience for each child
  • Track learning progress across sessions
  • Communicate with you about your account or the Service
  • Send updates if you have requested product or support communications

3. Children's Privacy (COPPA)

Sweet Phonics is designed for children ages 3–6 and is submitted to Apple's “Made for Kids” category. We comply with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) and Apple's Kids Category requirements:

  • We do not collect personal information directly from children. All account creation and management is performed by a parent or guardian, who provides verifiable consent during sign-up.
  • Child profiles contain only a first name (or nickname) and age, provided by the parent.
  • We do not display advertising of any kind, behavioral or contextual.
  • We do not use third-party analytics or tracking SDKs that profile children. Crash diagnostics (Firebase Crashlytics) collect only anonymized technical information needed to keep the app stable.
  • We do not sell, rent, share, or disclose children's information to third parties for any purpose other than providing the Service.
  • We do not allow children to make purchases, post content, or contact other users from inside the app. Subscription purchases require a parent to confirm with Apple ID, Touch ID, or Face ID.
  • Parents can review, update, export, or delete their child's information at any time by emailing support@sweetphonics.com. We respond to verified parental requests within 30 days.
  • Parents can revoke their consent at any time, which will result in deletion of the associated account and all child profile data.

4. Data Storage and Security

Your data is stored securely using Supabase, a trusted cloud infrastructure provider. We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your information against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction.

5. Data Sharing

We do not sell or rent your personal information. Other than the website advertising measurement described below, we do not share your personal information with third parties for marketing purposes. We may share data only in the following limited circumstances:

  • Supabase — cloud database and authentication. Stores parent email, child profile (first name and age), and lesson progress.
  • Google Firebase Crashlytics — anonymized crash diagnostics. Receives device model, OS version, app version, and crash stack traces. Does not receive any account or child profile data.
  • Apple — processes subscription purchases and provides us with a transaction receipt for entitlement verification.
  • Meta (Facebook) — advertising measurement on our public website only. sweetphonics.com uses the Meta Pixel to measure how well our ads perform (for example, page views and App Store link clicks by visitors). The pixel runs only on this parent-facing website — never inside the Sweet Phonics app, which contains no advertising or ad tracking of any kind. You can limit ad personalization through your browser settings or Meta's Ad Preferences.
  • Legal requirements: We may disclose information if required by law or in response to valid legal process.

Supabase, Firebase, and Apple process data on our behalf under contractual obligations to protect it and are prohibited from using it for their own purposes. Meta receives website measurement data as an independent data controller under its own privacy policy, as described above.

6. Data Retention and Deletion

We retain your data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service. You may request deletion of your account and all associated data at any time by contacting us at support@sweetphonics.com. We will process deletion requests within 30 days.

7. Your Rights

You have the right to:

  • Access the personal information we hold about you
  • Request correction of inaccurate information
  • Request deletion of your account and data
  • Opt out of marketing communications at any time

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any material changes by posting the updated policy on this page and updating the “Last updated” date.
